The star hitter Juan Soto is still in the spotlight of the free agent market.
Although he had meetings with a few teams last week, including the Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees and New York Mets, Jon Heyman of New York Post reports that no offer was made.
Heyman adds that the meetings were seen as “familiarization sessions, especially for owners.”
As interest in Soto continues across the league, Heyman reports that the Philadelphia Phillies still intend to meet with Soto, adding that the team is extremely interested in the outfielder.

Soto’s next deal could be close to the $700 million contract Shohei Ohtani signed last winter, over 14 or 15 seasons.
Soto, 26, helped the Yankees reach the World Series last season with a .288 batting average, 41 home runs and 109 RBIs. He also had a .419 field average with a .989 OPS in 157 games, in his seventh season in the Majors. The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native had a .327 batting average and added four homers and nine RBIs in 14 playoff games.
