This weekend took place in the United States MLS conference semifinals. After a first round of play-offs which saw Inter Miami, leader of the regular season, knocked out of the title race, just like the defending champion, the Columbus Crew, eight teams faced each other on Saturday and Sunday to obtain the precious ticket for the conference final, on 1is next December: in the west, the Los Angeles Galaxy will face the Seattle Sounderswhilein the east, Orlando City will challenge New York Red Bull.

Los Angeles easily defeated Minnesota United this Saturday in a one-sided match (6-2), while their future opponent, Seattle, had more difficulty overcoming LAFC in Hugo Lloris and Olivier Giroud (2-1). In the east, the New York derby turned to the advantage of Red Bull, winners of City FC at Citi Field this Saturday (0-2). Thierry Henry’s former club will meet Orlando City in the final, winner of Atlanta United (1-0), to compete for the ticket to the MLS grand final. If the LA Galaxy has already won 5 championship titles, Seattle, Orlando and New York are chasing their very first national crown.
