Mohammed Shami will return to the field through Ranji Trophy

Kolkata:. Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami is set to return to competitive cricket for the first time after the 2023 World Cup final. He has been included in the team for Bengal‘s Ranji Trophy match against Madhya Pradesh in Indore from November 13. Shami was out of cricket for a long time due to injury. His rehabilitation process after ankle surgery was taking relatively longer time. He has spent most of the last six months at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. First, he spent time at the NCA to recover from surgery on his ankle tendon and then at the NCA to recover from ankle swelling and side-strain. Shami was set to make a comeback during the home series against Bangladesh in September and was also named for the Duleep Trophy But in the meantime he got another shock, information about which was also given by Rohit Sharma. There was swelling in his left knee, which hindered his recovery. After this, Shami also had to be out of the Indian team for the Australia tour, which included Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Akashdeep, Prasidh Krishna and Harshit Rana. The form includes five fast bowlers.
