More than 1,000 athletes will meet this weekend on the fourth day of the Cabildo Games

Five sports modalities will be the protagonists in different parts of Tenerife’s geography: mountain biking, judo, handball, cross country and volleyball.

More than a thousand young people will mobilize this weekend in the cFourth day of the XXXVIII Cabildo Games which will display five sports modalities in different parts of the island geography: mountain biking, judo, handball, cross country and volleyball.

The insular counselor of Sports, Yolanda Molinestates that “sport and physical activity are always a driving force that transforms society and a meeting space for everyone. This 38th edition of the Cabildo Games It is a firm commitment to base sport of Tenerife”.

He mountain biking opens season on the Punta Larga circuit, in Candelaria. The tests will begin on Saturday, November 9 at 1:00 p.m. and they hope to bring together a hundred participants of all ages and categories, from youngest to junior. Registration remains open until Thursday, November 7 at 11:00 p.m. and can be formalized by clicking on this link.

He judo also faces its opening day this Saturday at the Ana Bautista Municipal Sports Pavilion in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The fights will begin at 9:30 am and will involve 110 judokas from the children’s and cadet categories. The judo competition at the XXXVII Cabildo Games is organized jointly with the Tenerife Federation of Judo and Associated Sports, with the collaboration of the different town councils and judo clubs on the Island.

One of the most anticipated premieres of the season is the handballwhich finally arrives at the XXXVIII Cabildo Games this weekend on two consecutive days. The first day of the Insular League in the juvenile, children and cadet male and female categories will be played on Saturday starting at 9 in the morning in different pavilions on the islandwhile the matches corresponding to the youngest category will be played on Sunday starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Las Torres Pavilion in Adeje. All this under the watchful eye of the Tenerife Island Handball Federation.

On the other hand, the second day of cross country will take us to the northern area, to the circuit attached to the Barranco de San Felipe, in Puerto de la Cruz. The tests will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will bring together some 600 athletes of all categories, from sub-10 to sub-16, male and female, under the watchful eye of the Technical Organization and the Insular Athletics Federation from Tenerife.

Completing Saturday’s agenda is the volleyballwhich continues to play the matches corresponding to the Promotion and Apertura Tournament, in the male and female juvenile category, which will be played in different courts on the island starting at 9:00 a.m. The volleyball competition is organized jointly with the Tenerife Island Volleyball Federation.
