Duisburg. PSV Duisburg organized the title fights in the South Comprehensive School. The hosts won the cup with 17 wins.
The number of participants from the previous year could not quite be reached again, but there were also some clubs missing. The judoka from Oberhausen did not take part in the Duisburg city championships this year. However, more than 130 children and young people competed for medals and placings. The participants came from ten clubs. The PSV Duisburg judo department and its team of helpers ensured that the event ran smoothly in the sports hall of the South Comprehensive School.
From Duisburg, MSV Duisburg, TV Germania Duisburg, Kodokan Duisburg and host PSV took part in the competitions. The judoka from PSV Duisburg secured 17 city championship titles, and at the end of the day they were able to win the cup ranking ahead of TSV Viktoria Mülheim (nine first places) and 1. Essener JC (six first places).
In the weight classes with the largest number of participants, there were victories for PSV judoka Mark Bochkovskyi (U 13 to 34 kilograms) and Abubakr Shoev (U 13 over 55 kilograms).
