With 199 members, the Münsterland tennis district, together with the Ruhr-Lippe tennis district, has the most members per club on average. Many clubs in Münster with large memberships contribute to this. But the cities of Rheine and Dorsten also have a comparatively large selection of clubs. In addition, the Gronau Open – one of the largest national women’s tournaments – now has a tradition going back over 20 years. In total, the 183 clubs in Münsterland have 36,439 members. The three clubs with the largest number of members are TC St. Mauritz, THC Münster and TV Emsdetten.
