The Indianapolis Colts’ mascot, Blue, found himself the center of attention after a scandalous move in Minnesota on Sunday night.
Known for his rude shenanigans in exhibition games, the Blue Horse took center stage at halftime during the Vikings’ annual Mascots vs Youth football game.
After Blue brutally slammed a young player to the ground, the situation escalated. He pushed the opponent, who was already on the ground, again, which brought the youth team into action. A counterattack resulted in Blue’s jersey being ripped off and the mascot standing naked in front of thousands of spectators at US Bank Stadium. Blue seemed to enjoy the attention and showed off his “naked” body to the cheering audience.
Aggressive behavior is not an isolated case of mascots
This aggressive style of play is not an uncommon sight for fans who have witnessed numerous incidents involving Blue. Inconceivable here in Austria, this behavior is even encouraged in America.

There are numerous videos on his official YouTube channel in which the mascot ruthlessly attacks smaller players. In 2014, he even ended up on ESPN’s “C’mon Man” for his reckless behavior at street soccer games. “C’mon Man” was a segment on an ESPN sports show that poked fun at absurd or unnecessarily aggressive actions in sports. It often showed short video clips of athletes reacting exaggeratedly or inappropriately during a game.

The only Austrian plays for the Indianapolis Colts
By the way, the only Austrian in the NFL is Bernhard Raimann, he is the first to make it into the NFL. He currently plays for the Indianapolis Colts – he is well aware of the behavior of his team’s mascot.
