Turkish Basketball Federation President Hidayet Türkoğlu Made a Statement
TBF President Hidayet Türkoğlu, in his speech at the media day, said, “As the management, we have always stood behind our team. Our national team made a good start to the 2025 European Championship Qualifiers. I congratulate them, I hope we can win the upcoming matches and show that we will participate in the European Championship strongly.” he said.

Türkoğlu emphasized that the Basketball Development Center is a very special facility and said, “Our national teams meet with valuable clubs here. We will play our first national match here tomorrow. I hope our audience will watch us with support. “We will continue the rise of women’s basketball with these victories.” he said.
Ekrem Memnun: “We Think of Nothing But Winning”
National Women’s Basketball Team Head Coach Ekrem Memnun said, “We are playing a very important match to participate in the European Championship. We prepared well, the players are very motivated. As a team, we know each other and this is our advantage. “We want to come out on top in this group and take our place in the European Championship.” he said.
Players Called for Support
National team manager Yasemin Horasan stated that the match is critical and said, “Our team is ready. We hope our girls will perform at their best. “We expect the support of our people in the upcoming matches.” he stated.
Additionally, Olcay Çakır Turgut, a National Women’s Basketball Team player, talked about a short preparation period and said, “We all came here from our clubs and we are trying to be a whole. “We need everyone’s support.” he said.
