Nations League: “It’s something special again when the national team plays.” – Sport

The national team will face Bosnia-Herzegovina in the Nations League on Saturday and Hungary on Tuesday. The two games mark the end of the international year, with the immediate goal being to move into the quarter-finals as group winners with another win. But it’s also about the big picture – and a few things are different, just in terms of personnel: Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sané, Julian Brandt and Felix Nmecha are returning, and goalkeeper Stefan Ortega is a real newcomer.

What condition is the DFB team in right now? What effect do the changes in the squad have? What are the goals – for the Nations League and with a view to the 2026 World Cup? And was this a successful year for national coach Nagelsmann and his team? Moderator Anna Dreher talks about this with national team reporter Philipp Selldorf and football expert Sebastian Fischer in this episode of “And Now to Sport”.
