The Los Angeles Lakers have traded rookie guard Bronny James to their Los Angeles affiliate. G League in South Bay, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
James is expected to make his debut against Salt Lake City on Saturday and is expected to be in the Lakers’ lineup for the game against the Philadelphia 76ers on November 15.
Charania reports the plan is for James to only play in South Bay home games and commute between the two leagues.
James, 20, was selected by the Lakers in the second round of this year’s draft and is the son of future Hall of Famer LeBron James.
In four games this season with the Lakers, James has totaled 13 minutes of play with four points scored, two assists and one rebound.
