NBA, Kyle Hines joins the Brooklyn Nets staff

After hanging up his boots, with his farewell to Olimpia Milano this summer, Kyle Hines‘ future has taken the black colors of the Brookyln Nets. The legendary center who dominated in Europe for years, in fact, officially becomes part of the technical staff of the franchise, with which however he had already been collaborating for a few months.

Hines, in fact, was assistant coach during the Summer Leaguewhile in recent months he had remained – albeit without an official role – within the Nets. Now, however, the official announcement alongside coach Jordi Fernandez in the hope of definitively starting that project that the Brooklyn team has dreamed of, without ever making successful, in recent years.

As Backdoor Podcast reports, at the moment the role of the former Milan center is “hybrid”, with Hines who “takes care of the player development with very varied tasks starting from the pure coaching staff, moving on to the video room and front office, up to the scouting part”. In short, as he has done on the parquet for years, Hines ranges all over the field to be useful where needed.

Kyle Tyrrel Hines, class of ’86grew up at the college level with the UNCG Spartans and after being passed over in the NBA draft of 2008 arrives in Italy, in Veroli Basketin which he played for two years in Legadue. In 2010 he moved to Germany Brose Bambergwhere he shines and his career explodes. In 2011 the transition toOlympiakos with which he won his first two Euroleagues. Two years later it’s the turn of CSKA Moscowwith which he repeated the two successes in the Euroleague and remained until 2020. From there the transition toOlimpia Milanof which he became a leader until his farewell last summer.
