The Orlando Magic, with Franz Wagner once again strong, remain on the road to success, while Schröder’s Nets only lasted one half.
Next victory for the Wagner brothers, rubdown for Dennis Schröder: The German basketball stars experienced a very different NBA game day. While national team captain Schröder and the Brooklyn Nets lost 114:139 to the Boston Celtics, Moritz and Franz Wagner extended their short series with the Orlando Magic. The 94:90 win against the Indiana Pacers meant the Florida team’s fourth win in a row.

Franz Wagner once again became the Magic’s top scorer with 29 points. His older brother Moritz contributed 10 points, while German rookie Tristan da Silva scored two points and grabbed nine rebounds in 21 minutes of playing time. It was Orlando’s seventh win this season.
Schröder’s Nets desolate after the break
Schröder showed a solid performance with 16 points in the Nets’ seventh defeat of the season. Until halftime, his team was within striking distance (60:65), but in the second half they completely lost track and suffered their seventh defeat in the twelfth game. For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum excelled with 36 points.
Daniel Theis remained unused as his New Orleans Pelicans lost 88:106 to the Oklahoma City Thunder, where Isaiah Hartenstein was still missing due to injury. It was the sixth straight loss for the Pelicans. Oklahoma, who had their best thrower in Jalen Williams (31 points), comfortably leads the Western Conference with ten wins.

In the East, the Cleveland Cavaliers are still circling lonely at the top. The 114:106 win over the Philadelphia 76ers was win number 13 this season; the Cavs are the only undefeated NBA team this season.
