The advantage with the NBA is that the matches are played in the middle of the night. The downside; it’s a hangover when you wake up seeing Victor Wembanyama‘s latest performance.
Victor Wembanyama is unfortunately the real “King” against Sacramento
Just two days after playing at the impassable wall against the Utah Jazz, Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs faced the Sacramento Kings. And the first minutes of the match gave us great hope. Indeed, Sacramento wins the first quarter (26-22), and seems well on its way to inflicting a seventh setback on the Spurs this season. But from the second quarter, we understand that it will not be for this evening. Wemby takes things in hand and allows San Antonio to get back in front (60-55). They will no longer lose leadership.

After returning from the locker room, Wemby can play without pressure. Whether in the racket or from the AT&T Center parking lot, the balls smash the basket. The Frenchman finished his match with 34 points (6/12 from three points), 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 blocks. Enough to disgust the Kings (116-96). The only good news of the evening; the San Antonio Spurs still enjoy a negative record this season (5 wins, 6 losses). But this may not last long.
