Will Neymar and Lionel Messi actually work together again in the same team at the end of their careers? The rumors about the Brazilian’s possible move to Inter Miami have been around for a long time, after all the two are known to be very good friends and spent a successful time together at FC Barcelona.

Now Neymar is fueling speculation once again. According to the Wall Street Journal, the offensive star has bought a property in Miami worth 24 million euros, which suggests that he plans to settle there in the future – at least temporarily.

The Brazilian record player is currently tied to Al-Hilal until the summer of 2025, where he moved from Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 for 90 million euros. Although he has an option for a one-year extension, leaving is considered the most likely option. This means he can negotiate a preliminary contract for the coming season with potential interested parties from January 1st.

Reunion with ex-Barça colleagues?

Miami has been in the draw for a while, as has a return to FC Barcelona. However, the latter is unrealistic due to the Catalans’ limited financial options. In Miami, Neymar would meet his former Barça teammates and friends Sergio Busquets and Messi – Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba’s contracts currently only run until the end of 2024.

Just a few days ago, Neymar celebrated his comeback after an almost year-long break due to a torn cruciate ligament. Even without the 32-year-old, Al-Hilal won the championship last season and are currently leading the Saudi Pro League table with six points ahead of Al-Nassr. Neymar may say goodbye to the desert state with two championship titles.
