I Chiefs they escape at the last second with the most unlikely of plays, i Lions they conquer Houston and what a duel between Daniels e Wilson!
While waiting for a Dolphins-Rams game which, during the night, will say a lot about Miami’s playoff hopes, a Sunday in which the two Conference leaders, Detroit and Kansas City, escaped from two traps comes to the fore. Let’s go with the detail
Week #10, considerations
- If it weren’t for the fact that i Chiefs they have won 3 of the last 5 years I would say it is “their year”. There’s no other way to explain yet another heart-pounding W with a field goal blocked at the last second (!!!!) a Wil Lutzthe kicker of the day Denver Broncos; exactly the same Broncos they had designed an imperial drive to move into a safe area for a comfortable kick. The attack of Chiefs continues to not shift into high gear and it is once again the defense that takes the chestnuts out of the fire with yet another monstrous performance.
- Jared Goff he shoots the pigeon all evening (5 interceptions) but the Lions get away with it Houston with a monstrous performance from their defense and special teams. The defense intercepts twice Stroud e has i Texans at 20 points on an evening in which the Texans, a thread in crisis in this period, are unable to materialize the enormous gifts that the guests grant. Detroit goes up 8-1 for the first time since 1954 and maintains the lead in the Conference
- With the Lions involved in a night game outside of my possible schedule, I enjoy, in prime time, a Commanders – Steelers with a thousand emotions. Wilson & co won at the end of a heart-stopping match that said two things. 1) Washington it’s an ultra-competitive team and Daniels is the real crack of the last Draft. Had it not been for a few drops from his receivers and a VERY Dubious call on the final drive, we would probably be talking about yet another W by the Commanders; 2) Pittsburgh it is and can be, in the long run, extremely dangerous. Russell Wilson it’s not the same as the Seattle years but he doesn’t make big mistakes and when he has to throw the game he does it (the one on Mike Williams for the winning TD it’s vintage Russell). The yellow and black defense is always top notch and next Sunday’s match against the Ravens will give us a definitive clue for a team that, laughing and joking, is 7-2
- The bell is ringing and it’s ringing for Cowboys e Jets. Both defeats on Sunday (vs Eagles e Cardinals), both shamelessly humiliated and both with an identity crisis that seems endless. And while for the green and whites the AFC ranking still offers perhaps a small glimmer of hope, for the Texans, with Prescott out all season, it’s already time to think about the Draft
