The incident was filmed by cameras which were already in place a little more than two hours before the match kicked off. We can see a large piece of metal falling from the roof, fortunately without causing any injuries. Another piece broke off but remained stuck in the structure.
“Certainly there was no risk to the players on the field once we closed the roof,” Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said. “There were a lot of gusty winds in that area this afternoon, and apparently that created some looseness up there. Then when we tried to open the roof, the wind rushed in there and exacerbated the looseness. »
It was therefore finally under a closed roof that the Cowboys lost 10-34 against the Houston Texans.
