Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will have surgery to repair a partially torn hamstring muscle and, as a result, his season is over, team owner Jerry Jones revealed Tuesday.
Jones said Prescott will go under the knife Wednesday in New York. Jones discussed this issue on his radio show Tuesday.
“The diagnosis is really unfortunate,” Jones said. It just means we’ll have to do without him for the rest of the campaign. »
Prescott was injured in the second half of a game that ended in a 27-21 victory for the Atlanta Falcons. He was on the sidelines during his team’s fourth straight loss, Sunday, by a score of 34-6 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Cowboys (3-6) plan to give Cooper Rush multiple starts.
