NFL: heads continue to roll among the Jets

After the head coach, it’s the general manager’s turn to lose his job in the middle of the season with the New York Jets.

With only three victories in 11 games, the New York team decided to fire GM Joe Douglas who was employed by the team, according to several American media. He will be replaced by Phil Savage on an interim basis.

A few weeks earlier, the Jets had also fired head instructor Robert Saleh after starting the season with two wins and three losses. However, the situation has not improved in New York since the team has a 1-5 record since his dismissal.

Under Douglas’ leadership, the Jets maintained a record of 30 wins and 64 losses and never managed to qualify for the playoffs.

Even though the team has several talented young players with star cornerback Sauce Gardner as well as wide receiver Garrett Wilson, it has not been able to find a quarterback to guide the franchise.

The selection of Zach Wilson second overall in the 2021 draft was a failure and the acquisition of veteran Aaron Rodgers in 2023 has yet to bear fruit.
