KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The homes of Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were targets of robberies last month, according to police reports.
The Cass County, Missouri Police Department said a break-in at Mahomes’ residence occurred after midnight on October 6.
No further details were provided as the investigation continues.
The next day, Kelce’s home was also the target of a robbery, the Leawood, Kansas, Police Department said. Losses were estimated at $21,000 at the Chiefs tight end’s home, including $20,000 in cash.
The Chiefs star quarterback confirmed the information on Wednesday, without going into details.
“Obviously it’s frustrating. It’s disappointing. But I can’t say much more during the investigation. Obviously, that’s the kind of thing you don’t wish on anyone, including yourself,” Mahomes said.
Mahomes did not say whether he and his family were present when the break-in occurred;
The thefts occurred the day before, and the same day, of the Chiefs’ victory over the New Orleans Saints.
