Aaron Rodgers said he hasn’t yet made his decision about his future in the NFL next season. But if he decides to continue his career, then it will be with the New York Jets.

The star quarterback, who will celebrate his 41ste birthday next Monday, has denied recent reports suggesting he wants to play next season — with a team other than the Jets.
“I came here to win, so I’m not going to jump ship,” Rodgers said Tuesday as part of the Pat McAfee Show. I don’t know if I want to continue my career, but [si c’est le cas] then New York would be my first option. »
The Athletic reported last week that Rodgers had already decided to continue his career next season, specifying that he wanted to join another team. He and the Jets are 3-8 so far this season, and owner Woody Johnson fired head coach Robert Saleh last month and replaced him with defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich. Johnson also fired general manager Joe Douglas last Tuesday.
Rodgers recently told reporters, “Yeah, I think so,” when asked if he wanted to continue his career next season. His response, however, came before Johnson made another change in Jets management.
“As for my future, I haven’t told anyone that I want to play in 2025 with any team other than the Jets,” Rodgers summarized. This is all 100% false. I even said the opposite. I said I’m going to wait and see what happens at the end of the campaign, whether they still want me, what happens to “Brick”, the offensive personnel and obviously with the situation of the general director. They just fired Joe.
“I have no control over what happens right now. But I’ve really enjoyed my time so far in New York. Obviously, we have not yet experienced the hoped-for results,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Ulbrich confirmed Monday that Rodgers will “absolutely” be the Jets’ starting quarterback Sunday at home against the Seattle Seahawks.
