A week after the first defeat of the season, quarterback Patrick Mahomes got back on track with his Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL and won against the Carolina Panthers. Detroit also celebrated its next victory in Indianapolis. But this ended a series by Amon-Ra St. Brown.
In the 30:27 win in Carolina, superstar Patrick Mahomes (244 passing yards) threw three touchdown passes. However, things got really tight at the end. Carolina scored a touchdown with 1:46 left. They then tried to score two more points with another move and actually equalized to 27:27 thanks to a run by Chuba Hubbard.

But on the last drive the Chiefs got within field goal distance again and Spencer Shrader secured the victory with a kick from 31 yards with two seconds left. This means that the defending champions have a record of 10:1 wins and will end a season with ten or more successes for the tenth time in a row.
Detroit wins even without a St. Brown touchdown
The Detroit Lions didn’t show any weakness at all. The team around German-American receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown expanded its record to 10-1 with a 24-6 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Although St. Brown was searched seven times by quarterback Jared Goff, he also caught the ball six times and ran for 62 yards. However, the 25-year-old was denied a touchdown.
This ends a series for St. Brown. Previously, he had carried the ball into the end zone at least once in eight consecutive games.
Turpin takes the ball 99 yards to the finish
A 99-yard kickoff return by KaVonate Turpin in the final quarter put the Dallas Cowboys on track at the Washington Commanders. The return specialist dropped the ball in his own end zone after the kickoff, but then ran all over the field and scored the points to make it 26:17 for the Cowboys.
Nevertheless, things got dramatic at the end. Shortly before the end, after a touchdown, Commanders kicker Austin Seibert missed the chance to make it 27:27 with the extra point and make overtime possible. His subsequent onside kick also failed.
In return, Juanyeh Thomas grabbed the ball and ultimately sealed the 34:26 victory for the Cowboys with a 43-yard run.
