Footballer Bernhard Raimann will miss the Indianapolis Colts’ NFL highlight game at the Minnesota Vikings due to a concussion.
As the Colts announced, the 27-year-old Wiener developed symptoms after the loss at the Houston Texans on Sunday and did not participate in practice all week. The offensive tackle will have to watch the ninth game of the season on Monday night (2:20 a.m.) away against the Vikings for the first time this season.
Raimann had already missed two games last season due to a concussion. The Colts are aiming for their fifth win of the season against the Vikings in the fight for a play-off spot, while Minnesota is hoping for their sixth win in the eighth game.
The Colts are led by veteran quarterback Joe Flacco (39). After the defeat in the division duel in Houston, head coach Shane Steichen somewhat surprisingly decided to put quarterback hopeful Anthony Richardson (22) on the bench. Flacco is currently in his 17th NFL season and, according to Steichen, the Colts currently have a better chance of winning games under him. Richardson, who has often been plagued by injuries, has struggled so far in his second NFL season with precision in the passing game.
