NFL star tearfully announces his child’s stillbirth

NFL star Hakeem Adeniji and his wife Kayla are going through the most terrible time of their lives: the couple lost their son just a few days before the due date. The athlete shared the tragic news in a tearful video.
In May of this year, NFL star Hakeem Adeniji, 26, and his wife Kayla happily announced they were expecting their first child together. “We’ve been waiting for you. We’ve been praying for you, dreaming about you and always knowing we want you. Baby Adeniji is coming in November,” they wrote on social media at the time. Now the couple has to cope with and announce the hardest news: Hakeem and Kayla’s son has died in the womb.

A few days ago, Hakeem Adeniji posted a video of himself in which he tearfully explained that his wife was no longer able to feel their child during their date night. So they went to the hospital as a precaution. There the couple was told that there was no heartbeat to be heard and that their beloved child was dead. “It was the worst moment in my life,” says the Cleveland Browns offensive tackle, emphasizing that everyone who knows him knows that he I couldn’t wait to finally be a father.
“It’s the worst pain in the world, I can’t describe it,” says the football player in a trembling voice. Six days later, the couple would have had an appointment to induce labor.
Heartbreaking footage from the delivery room
A little later, Kayla shares several shots from the delivery room, including pictures of her and Hakeem holding their deceased child – who goes by the name Semiu Zade Adeniji – in their arms. “We lost our son. We had to say goodbye to the most perfect, beautiful boy I have ever seen. We will never be the same again and we will never forget him,” writes the grieving mother.
Her son had a head full of curls and his father’s nose. “He will always be my son and I will always be his mother. He got us through so much this year and was strong for us for so long. I will always remember holding him and smelling him “He was just perfect. Oh my sweet boy, mom and dad will always smile when we think of you, I promise,” it continues.
