(New York) The American Football League (NFL) issued a warning on Thursday after a series of burglaries targeting Kansas City stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce in particular.
The alert from Wednesday was revealed Thursday on the NFL website, which reported an FBI investigation suspecting a South American organized crime network.
Police say Dallas Cowboys defensive end Linval Joseph was the victim of a burglary at his Minnesota home last weekend.
Among the Kansas City Chiefs, four-time Super Bowl winners, quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight-end (offensive post) Travis Kelce, boyfriend of pop megastar Taylor Swift, were both robbed last month. Each time while they were away from home.
League officials suggested players not post messages on social media that allow them to be located in real time, hide valuables and install security systems at their homes.
