The NFL is already halfway through the season. The challengers to the undefeated Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs are slowly emerging, but other teams are already planning the offseason and, like the New Orleans Saints, have already fired their coach.
Either way, the trade deadline is one of the most stressful days of the NFL year for everyone responsible. Players can still be traded until 10 p.m. German time this evening. There could be a spectacular deadline day ahead, as various superstars are mentioned in transfer rumors.

+++ NFL Trade News: Star cornerback before departure? +++
There are several superstars being traded as candidates for a trade before the NFL trade deadline. This includes cornerback Marshon Lattimore from the New Orleans Saints. After seven straight losses, the Saints pulled the ripcord and fired head coach Dennis Allen.
With payroll also a major headache, Lattimore could bring in valuable draft picks for the rebuild. Because several playoff providers could really use one of the best pass defenders in the league, for example the up-and-coming Washington Commanders.
How ESPNInsider Adam Shefter reports that in the past few weeks several players have instructed their agents to discuss a move to the capital. With new ownership, a competent coaching staff and rookie sensation Jayden Daniels as quarterback, the three-time Super Bowl winner (7 wins – 2 losses) is suddenly very attractive after 25 years in no man’s land.
+++ NFL trades: Cardinals sign linebacker +++
The Arizona Cardinals have already strengthened their defense one day before the trade deadline. Linebacker Baron Browning is moving from the Denver Broncos to Arizona for a sixth-round draft pick next spring.
In his fourth NFL season, Browning should put more pressure on the opposing quarterback. The Cardinals are at the top of the NFC West with five wins and four losses.
