The last week of activity in the National Football League caused quite a stir. Among the 15 clashes, ten ended with a difference of seven points or less while three matches needed overtime to decide between them.

Kansas City maintains perfect record

The Kansas City Chiefs are still undefeated. With a 30-24 victory, the champions of the last two Super Bowls increase their record to eight wins and no losses.

Despite a comeback from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the final moments of the match, the match ended in overtime. Andy Reid’s men also distinguished themselves on the offensive level.

Kareem Hunt (106 yards rushing), Travis Kelce (100 yards passing) and DeAndre Hopkins (86 yards passing and two touchdowns) gave us a little nostalgia for Kansas City’s new offensive era. Patrick Mahomes, who is experiencing his worst career season in terms of statistics, still threw for 291 yards and three touchdowns for no interceptions.

Rams snatch overtime victory against Seahawks

The duels are tough in the West division of the National. The Los Angeles Rams won in overtime by a score of 26-20 against the Seattle Seahawks. In the loss, Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith threw for 363 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions. The latter was also the target of seven quarterback sacks during the meeting.

Seattle’s first-round receiver in the 2023 draft, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, also had a career-best performance, amassing 180 yards and two touchdowns on seven receptions.

This hotly contested duel ended with a superb one-handed catch from Demarcus Robinson over a distance of 39 yards. This victory allows the Rams to maintain second place in their division and hope to participate in the playoffs despite the team’s numerous injuries.

Duel in the depths of the Goodell circuit

On one hand, the New Orleans Saints have a six-game losing streak. On the other hand, the Carolina Panthers have the worst record in the league with six losses for just one victory. A poster that sells dreams.

In the case of both teams, it’s playing musical chairs for the quarterback position. For the Saints, the position is exchanged between veteran Derek Carr and rookie Spencer Rattler. For the Panthers, the scenario is similar between veteran Andy Dalton and the first pick in the 2023 draft, Bryce Young.

The clash between the two franchises ended with a score of 23-22 in favor of the Panthers to sign their second victory of the season. For the Saints, the losing streak continues and the New Orleans team has just shown the door to their head coach Dennis Allen.

Star of the Week: Saquon Barkley (Philadelphia Eagles)

A performance that went around the world. This is what Saquon Barkley gave us in the Eagles’ game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. By land, he amassed 159 yards on 27 carries with one touchdown. Through the air, he got 40 yards and another touchdown.

In addition to signing a superb performance on the statistics sheets, the ball carrier amazed the world of football by taking on the air of Simone Biles, the famous American gymnast, by performing a stride over his opponent backwards!

Rookie of the Week: Drake Maye (New England Patriots)

Despite the Patriots’ loss to the Tennessee Titans, the Rookie of the Week honors go to Patriots quarterback Drake Maye.

Author of 206 yards passing and 95 rushing, he led this Patriots team, which is having a very difficult season, to stay in the game throughout the game.

On the last play of the match, the rookie pulled a rabbit out of his hat to cause overtime. There is a glimmer of hope in New England.
