Wide representation of the club in the tournament held in Tenerife

Lanzarote Raqueta Club was present last weekend at the TOP TTR El Rosario, a national badminton tournament that was held on the island of Tenerife and in which more than 150 players from all over the archipelago participated. It was developed in the sub’11, sub’15, sub’19 and popular categories, with the matches being played at the facilities of the Leticia Batista Pavilion and organized by the CD Tenzul El Rosario.
Up to 19 players from the Lanzarote Raqueta Club traveled to the island of Tenerife last weekend to participate in the TOP TTR El Rosario. The Lanzarote club’s expedition was made up of Airam Steux, Vera García, Manuel Cabrera, Jorge Betancort, Samyra Méndez, Atenea Morales, Indara Arrocha, Neyen González, Bruno Fernández, Alberto Hernández, Eduardo Curbelo, Raúl Hernández, Marcos Verges, Noah Martí, Luis Hernández, Marina Morales, Legna Arranz, Daryl Lezcamno and Wing Choi.
In the under-11 category, the members of the Lanzarote Raqueta Club won a total of three medals. In the individual category, Vera García won the silver medal, falling in the final against Gretta Hernández from El Hierro (11-15, 13-15) and Airam Steux also climbed to the second place on the podium, falling in the final against the majorero Izán Mouriño (15-9, 13-15, 13-15). And in the mixed doubles, the pair formed by Vera García and Airam Steux won the gold medal.
The Lanzarote Raqueta Club won two bronze medals in the under-15 category. Eduardo Curbelo reached the semifinal round, a tie in which he was defeated by Enzo Mouriño (15-21, 21-18, 14-21) in a match that was resolved in the third set. And in the mixed doubles, Eduardo Curbelo and Indara Arrocha took the bronze medal.
A weekend of great experience for the members of the Lanzarote Raqueta Club, having the opportunity to compete in the TOP TTR El Rosario, a tournament that brought together more than 150 players from all over the archipelago.
