Pablo Carpio Navarro (Pamplona, 1968) has been proclaimed today as the new president of the Royal Spanish Baseball and Softball Federation after his candidacy, “A swing that connects”, was the only one that met the minimum requirements required to run for president. of the RFEBS. In this way, as of today, November 15, 2024, Carpio takes over from Jesús Lisarri as president of the national federation.
With a degree in Hispanic Philology, with a master’s degree in International Trade Management and working as a professor at the Pamplona Jesuit School, Carpio had already spent more than 14 years as president of the Navarra Baseball and Softball Federation (2002-2009 and 2018-2024), federation that he presided over until today. Apart from being a manager, Carpio also has an important sporting career in all areas related to baseball and softball, highlighting his role as an international scorer. (with recognition granted by national and international bodies and with experience in the most prestigious tournaments in the world), as a coach at CD Jesuitinas, Amaya’s subsidiary club, and finally with a past also as a player and coach in the ranks of CAD Irabia.
Carpio has been very satisfied and grateful with the reception that his project has had within the world of baseball and national softball, stating that “The majority support that we have received to be able to be elected without resorting to elections demonstrates the confidence that there is in a project that is born with solidity, with the objective of unifying everyone and with the desire to improve all aspects of our sports”says Carpio. Furthermore, it has also taken the opportunity to “thank all the people, players, athletes, technicians, clubs, territorial federations that have supported our candidacy”adding that “We will try to give together a very strong boost to our baseball and softball, from competitions, promotion, technicalization or to our national teams”.
