Conversations – El Ojo 2024
(11/13/24). In one of the most anticipated conferences of El Ojo de Iberoamérica 2024, Mariano Serkin and Diego Medvedocky interviewed Pablo Del Campo to take a tour of the key steps that led him to be one of the most prestigious creatives in the world.
From its beginnings in Casares Gray to the construction of its agency, Del Campo – later associated with Saatchi & Saatchi – which was not only a local reference, but also acquired international relevance.
In a full room, the creatives who trained at their agency and are today leaders in the local industry focused on highlighting their creative career, first in advertising and then in their time in the world of entertainment.
The talk or what the creatives called a workshop was divided into eight acts aimed at revealing what makes Pablo Del Campo different. Firstly, the advertiser highlighted desire as a great plus that those who become leaders have. At this point, Serkin and Medvedocky highlighted that, precisely, Nobody’s Desires is Del Campo’s ability to awaken a person’s desire, the desire to improve, to always seek more.
In that sense, Del Campo assured that he focuses on those who express a desire to be creative, but he stressed that creativity does not depend on a magic wand, but rather it is trained and consists of the ability to detect ideas that appear in front of our minds. nose. “It is something that develops and is what made us a different agency,” said the leader.
On the other hand, he assured that another plus is thinking that everything is an opportunity. And he gave the example of The Battle of the Surfaces, the match between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, who played on a court that was half grass and half clay in 2007. About this match, a prominent English newspaper titled it as “The match that It didn’t occur to Playstation”, “that was the door for Playstation to call us to work with them. “We felt it was an opportunity,” he said.
Another fundamental point in this industry is knowing yourself, this represents another key that opens doors and allows not only personal growth but also in those places where we work.
He also assured that in his career in the advertising industry he was in charge of forming a tribe of leaders, “it is good to find what makes us different and that each one can contribute as leaders,” he noted. And he confirmed that he believes that we can coexist with many leaders.
Finally, he highlighted that we must always reinvent ourselves and continue believing that ideas can put us in places we never thought of.
