The San Francisco 49ers have a night to forget. Away they lost to the Green Bay Packers 10:38 (7:17), which meant they suffered their biggest defeat in the 74th duel.
The reason for this is, among other things, the absence of some important players. Quarterback Brock Purdy, defensive end Nick Bosa and tackle Trent Williams are missing due to injuries. But the 49ers also made some avoidable mistakes on the field. They conceded nine penalties for 77 yards and caused three turnovers.
Interception decides game
One of those turnovers becomes game-winning when a pass slips through the hands of receiver Deebo Samuel and is intercepted by Packers safety Xavier McKinney. After this interception, Green Bay scores another touchdown and increases the lead to 17 points, which is no longer overtaken.
The Packers have a record of 8-3-0 and are still firmly in the playoff race.
Although the 49ers have a negative record (5-6-0), they are only one win away from catching up with the leaders Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks (both 6-5-0) in the NFC West. Because the Seahawks defeated the Cardinals 16:6 in a direct duel.
Barkley with record – Raiders lose quarterback
The Philadelphia Eagles continue to march in the NFL and celebrate their seventh win in a row. Away they beat the Los Angeles Rams clearly with 37:20 (13:7).
After a tight first half, Philadelphia made things clear, also because running back Saquon Barkley scored two touchdowns. In total he ran for 255 yards, which is both his career high and a franchise record.
Behind the Detroit Lions (10-1-0), the Eagles are the second-best team in the NFC with a record of 9-2-0.
The game day went less well for the Las Vegas Raiders, who had to admit defeat to the Denver Broncos 19:29. Additionally, Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew broke his collarbone in the final quarter and will miss the rest of the season.
