Padres win the title of the 9-10 category in the Cucapah League – Tribuna de San Luis

The Padres team wins 9 runs to 6 against the Yankees team, they become the champions of the play off B in the 9-10 year old category, in the 2024 summer tournament of the Cucapah Children’s and Youth Baseball League.

These two teams arrived last November 6 determined to win the award in this group B, in such a way that they gave no respite, since at the end of the third inning the scoreboard indicated 4 runs to 3 in favor of Padres. However, at the end of that third inning a 5-run rally by the Padres made the difference in the game, increasing the lead to 9 runs to 3.

Contributing to this important rally were Emiliano Aranda’s hit that opened the offensive attack, Max Rodríguez’s 2-run single, Daniel Anaya’s RBI double, Mateo López’s RBI hit, as well as Elio Cota’s uncatchable hit.

The Yankees still showed signs of life by scoring twice in the fourth inning through Enrique Cortez and William Castillón, to get within 5 runs to 9. But in the rest of the game they only managed to score one more line in the fifth inning, in this occasion in the shoes of Tomas Martínez, which was not enough, leaving the final score of 9 by 6 in favor of Padres.
