Tomislav Mijatovic, the head coach of Anadolu Efes, who lost 93-84 to the French team Paris Basketball, which they hosted in the 11th week of the EuroLeague, said that they could not compete at the level they wanted.
“WE WERE NOT AT THE LEVEL WE WANTED IN DEFENSE AND OFFENSE”
Making a statement at the press conference held after the match played at the Basketball Development Center, Mijatovic used the following statements:
We were not at the level we wanted in defense and offense. We fought well. We wanted the win. We did not lack concentration and fight. This result occurred because we missed some critical shots in the third and fourth quarters. We made mistakes in some applications at important moments. Congratulations to Paris. We will not give up fighting. We will try to compensate for this defeat in the coming matches.
“WE ARE FOLLOWING LARKIN’S SITUATION CLOSELY”
Shane Larkin’s injury continuesoSharing his views on the situation, Tomislav Mijatovic said:
We are monitoring Larkin’s situation closely. He suffered an injury in the same area. We act carefully. I can’t say ‘Larkin will return on this date’. He is doing well during his rehabilitation process. We don’t want to risk anything. I hope he will return to us soon.
The Croatian coach added that they had no plans to make a transfer in Larkin’s absence.
