Brissett or Maye?
After the concussion suffered by Maye during the last game, the presence of the team’s starting QB is in doubt for this Sunday, it is true that, according to Jerod Mayo, Maye began the week of training by participating, throwing balls for no more than 30 minutes, thus fulfilling the protocol followed by the players who suffer this injury and demonstrating that he is making progress in his recovery, which is why his presence this Sunday cannot be ruled out.
Either way, Jacoby Brissett is stepping into the starting QB role, both in reps during practice and interacting with the media throughout the week. Brissett put together a good performance leading the team to victory in the final minutes against the Jets, but the challenge against a strong defense against the passing game like that of the Titans (first in the league with fewest passing yards allowed, 151.6) It poses a much greater challenge.
An OL that goes from less to more
For the second week in a row, the Patriots kept the same offensive line, which is good news for an OL that has been plagued by injuries and uncertainty from the very beginning.
Likewise, the good level they are reaching is notable, particularly in protecting their QBs, who have been less punished in the last two dates (total of 4 sacks and 7 hits). Statistically, the Titans are not a high-pressure team (28th with just 14 sacks).
