Piedras Negras, Coah.- The children’s team from the baseball academy of Nava, Coahuila, won the championship of the national event Mazatlán Baseball Tournament, which took place last weekend in the port of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, where the little players of the Region Cinco Manantiales won the grand final of the “Escuelita” category over their peers from the Escuela de Bésbol Pulido de Mazatlán by a score of 24 runs to 14.
“Nava makes history in baseball, with enormous pride we share that our great little athletes had a perfect step and left the name of Nava and Coahuila very high in a final full of emotion and dedication, this victory would not have been possible without the effort and talent of our players, without the unconditional support of their families and without the tireless leadership of our academy leader, Vanessa Sauceda.”
The above is read in the statement issued by the directors of said children’s baseball academy, where they also highlighted the great work done by manager Diego Sosa, who was helped by coaches Brayan Martínez and Alex Longoria, who, with their Commitment and dedication managed to form this team that is now national champion of the category for children born in 2018 and 2019.
“Thank you for showing that with teamwork and discipline there are no limits, this achievement is yours and for our entire community, above Nava, above Coahuila, congratulations champions,” they stated; and they also announced the names of the children who made this achievement possible, such as catcher Abel Hernández, first baseman Alan Martínez, second baseman Archivaldo Infante, and third baseman Cruz Herrera.
As well as the shortstop, Yiret Aldair Hernández Tobares, and the fielders Édgar Sánchez Sauceda, Gael Galván Zamarripa, Ían Martín Rentería Bermea, Juan Manuel Sánchez Sauceda, Juan Pablo Monsiváis Torres and Liam Abimael de León Monsiváis, who have a great future within of the so-called “king of sports” if they continue with the same work, dedication and discipline that they have shown to have so far.
