On November 23, 11, Vietnam Petroleum Group (Petrolimex/Group) concluded the Sports Festival for Officials and Workers (CNVC-LD) in the Southwest Region. The event took place in the city of Vinh Long, part of a series of sports and competitive activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of Petrolimex (January 12, 01 – January 1956, 12).

With the participation of 500 talented athletes from 10 Petrolimex member units, the Petrolimex Employee and Work Sports Festival in the South West region concluded after two exciting days of competition. Intense competitions took place in all seven subjects: football, table tennis, tug of war, volleyball, tennis, badminton and Chinese chess. The athletes gave the audience many beautiful balls, many exciting moments and fought for every score, every game, every extremely dramatic goal.
In his closing speech, Nguyen Thanh Son, Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union and Head of the Arts and Sports Subcommittee celebrating Petrolimex’s 70th anniversary, appreciated the details and science. Learning and Consideration of Vinh Long Construction Company; The determination of the Sports Festival Organizing Committee, the Petrolimex units in the Southwest Region, especially the efforts of the athletes in training and competition to create an unforgettable sports festival together. The Chairman of the Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union urged the units to continue to carry out activities to better take care of the material and spiritual lives of employees and workers, continue to create conditions for movement for physical exercise, sports increasingly developed.
The Southwest Regional Sports Festival is the second sports festival (after the South Central and Central Highlands Regional Sports Festival) in a series of events, sports festivals and competitions to mark the 70th anniversary of Petrolimex’s founding. The organizing committee hopes that two consecutive successful sports festivals will give positive impetus to the next sports festivals and continue to encourage and motivate all employees and employees of Petrolimex to strive for the successful fulfillment of their professional duties and achieve many achievements in celebration of the 70th anniversary achieve formation of the group.
