Norden – On the second weekend in November (9th and 10th November), the North Judo Combat Group (JKG) presents the 18th edition of the Robben Cup in the Jahnhalle. Around 240 participants from three federal states and the Netherlands are expected.
There will be fights in the age groups U9 (born 2018 to 2016) and U13 (born 2012 to 2015) on Saturday and in the age groups U11 (born 2014 to 2017) and U15 (born 2010 to 2013) on Sunday. As in previous years, you can once again expect a high level of competition. The Robben Cup is even advertised as a ranking tournament for the U13 age group.
There is a certificate for every fighter. The top three finishers in each pool will be awarded medals. In addition, the three most successful clubs each receive a trophy.
As usual, the fight will take place on three competition areas. Almost 400 square meters of mats and other equipment have to be set up. Around 40 helpers will be deployed to ensure that the tournament runs as smoothly as usual.
The tournament will officially open on Saturday and Sunday at around 10.15 a.m. in the Norder Jahnhalle. A rich cafeteria and a tombola are set up on site. Admission is free on both days.
