(Toronto) The Toronto Argonauts have agreed with Bryan Scott to add depth at quarterback ahead of the Gray Cup game after star quarterback Chad Kelly was injured.

Kelly suffered a fractured ankle late in the third quarter of the Eastern Conference final, which the Argonauts won 30-28 against the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday.

Nick Arbuckle finished the game at quarterback and should get the start against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Sunday’s Gray Cup game in Vancouver.

Cameron Dukes should be the backup quarterback.

Scott, a six-foot-two, 220-pound player, played in nine games for the Argos this season, being limited to one touchdown pass. He also played for the Blue Bombers.

Scott, who is originally from Rolling Hills, Calif., played 18 games with Toronto last season as they went 16-2 in the regular season before losing to the Alouettes in the final of the East.

He also wore the uniform of the Edmonton Elks and the British Columbia Lions.
