Israeli President Isaac Herzog will meet with US President Joe Biden on Tuesday, according to an official statement, which does not refer to any meeting with President-elect Donald Trump.
Herzog is already in the United States for the Annual General Meeting of the Jewish Federations of North America, which, according to its website, began with a massive rally at the Nationals Park baseball stadium in Washington.
This event aims to “support Israel, the hostages and against anti-Semitism; thank America, the U.S. military and our civic partners and allies, honor the heroes and strengthen our Jewish unity,” according to the statement.
For his part, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu assured that he had already had up to three calls with Trump since his election, during which the “Iranian threat” was one of the main topics.
The president assured that these were “good and very important” conversations, during which they also discussed opportunities for the country “in the field of peace and its expansion” in the region, according to a statement video from Netanyahu’s office.
Netanyahu once again condemned the episode of violence in Amsterdam, during which gangs of Arab and Muslim origins brutally attacked Maccabi Tel Aviv fans. EFE and Aurora
