President Luis Arce highlighted that the 100 athletes of the “Bicentennial Dream” are an example of passion and determination in achieving goals and inspiration for other athletes.
“To our young 100 athletes selected for the ‘Bicentennial Dream’, remember that every sacrifice and every goal achieved inspires others to follow in your footsteps. You are a shining example of what can be achieved with passion and determination. We are with you!” wrote the head of state on his social networks.
The High Performance Incentive program “Sueño Bicentenario” is an initiative of the Ministry of Health and Sports that benefits Bolivian athletes with monthly economic incentives that allow them to improve their preparation and stand out in international and Olympic competitions.
Athletes, in addition to the monthly financial incentive, will have free medical care with the Unified Health System (SUS) and unrestricted access to the State’s sports facilities for their training.
The young promises will represent Bolivia in the disciplines of Athletics, Badminton, Canoeing, Cycling, Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball, Equestrian, Fencing, Gymnastics, Golf, Judo, Karate, Weightlifting, Amateur Wrestling, Swimming, Skating, Handball , Modern Pentathlon, Racquetball, Skiing and Mountaineering, Squash, Taekwondo, Tennis, Table Tennis, Archery, Sports Shooting and Triathlon.
