(Adnkronos) – Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed a list of “over 50 games” that will benefit from PlayStation 5 Pro-specific improvements when the enhanced console launches. PS5 Pro will be launched on November 7, at the price of 799 euros. Internal hardware upgrades result in 45% faster rendering. Sony has boosted the PS5 Pro’s GPU with 67% more compute units than the current PS5, and the memory is 28% faster. All this contributes to games rendering 45% faster. This extra power should significantly improve ray traced games. The PS5 Pro also includes Sony’s new AI-powered PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) feature, essentially an upscaling technique similar to Nvidia’s DLSS or AMD’s FSR for improving the frame rate and image quality of PlayStation games. Custom PSSR upscaling is designed to replace a game’s existing implementation of temporal anti-aliasing or upsampling.
