Rapallo Water Polo works for the future, the attacker Giulia Lombella joins the youth staff

The first team striker Giulia Lombella become part of the technical staff of the youth sector of Rapallo Water Polowill join Coach Nicole Zanetta at guide of the Student and Junior teams. The head of the technical sector Coach Luca Antonucci, who after having promoted the young defender Lara Bianco to the first team (2008), who is repaying the trust with goals and excellent performances, has started a
rotation of the most promising yellow and blue baby athletes: Valentina Daniele, Eleonora Soriani, Martina Solimano born in 2007, Nora Fioravanti, Maddalena Maccario born in 2009, Francesca Lucignani born in 2010.
I am very happy to have received this new role from the company which I approach with great enthusiasm”
These are the words of Giulia, the new youth coach, who adds:
“I am young and having my first experience as a coach and I am sure that it will be a source of great personal growth. The thing that I like most and stimulates me the most is the small age difference with the girls. I’m also very happy with the group I have at my disposal, the girls are very united and I think this is an excellent starting point. The support of Nicole Zanetta and Luca Antonucci and the excellent work done by them in
precedence makes me face this new challenge with peace of mind.”
Meanwhile, the engines are warming up in preparation for the new season who will leave Sunday 1st December with the Student Championshipwhich includes a new format designed to allow a greater number of games to be played and therefore greater growth opportunities for the movement’s base.
The youth sector of Rapallo Water Polo continues its growth path with enthusiasm, with small steps and with enormous sacrifices one of the most important realities of national water polo is being rebuilt.
Among a thousand difficulties, in a period of profound crisis for the entire pink water polo sector, as certified by the discouraging numbers of new members, everyone at RPN agrees on the fundamental role played by the youth teams and on the need to invest time and resources for the future. This is why we work hard to always find new solutions, create development and competition opportunities, and strategies to recruit and grow new talent. In the past, Rapallo has already entered into agreements with other clubs, as in the case of Venere Azzurra della Spezia, to give greater impetus to the
movement, convinced that in times of difficulty we must overcome parochial logic and that unity is strength. The road is clear, the path is long and arduous but with dedication and passion we can and must work for the future.
