Two athletes from Rivas Vaciamadrid have shone this weekend in international competitions.

On the one hand, Raúl Jardim, skater from Madrid Ice Breakershas participated in the ISU Development Race and Frillense Cup competitions, held in Inzell, Germany.

The skater from Ripense has competed in the 500 and 1,000 meters, achieving his personal best in both events. Furthermore, in the longest test, the kilometer, Raúl Jardim has managed the minimum time needed to qualify for the Junior World Cups. Jardim came close to achieving it at the distance of half a kilometer.

The contest was held in Las Vegas (United States). Closer to Rivas, in Rome, the Ripense judoka Nisrin Boubaa was fifth in the European Cup after losing in the fight for bronze. And in Tajikistan, where the sambo world championship was held, María Cabas, also an athlete from the Judo Club Rivas and current Spanish champion of the discipline, was seventh.
