CASTELRAIMONDO – The direct clash at the top of group E of Serie B goes to Vigor Matelica who after 40 minutes of authentic spectacle beats Svethia Recanati who comes out amidst the huge applause of her large audience. Race that does not disappoint the expectations of the many sportsmen who packed the Castelraimondo sports hall, the two points go the red and white route but honor to a Recanati team that without Andreani and Urbutis of their lights gave the impression of being able to take full spoils until the end .
Vigor starts off strong with a very inspired Dieng while Mattia Magrini’s Sunday is on the yellow and blue side, good at consistently finding the net of the locals. At 10′ red and white +3 (19-16). Two points from Arnaldo at the start of the second half gave his team a 5 (23-18), Pozzetti shortened to 23-22 before another mini-break of 5-0 by the Mentonelli-Riccio duo (28-22). Coach Di Chiara’s time out rearranges the ideas of Sabbatini and his teammates who, with a partial score of 11-5, go into halftime at 33-33.
The long break was especially good for Leopardi: triple from Pozzetti and two points from a reactive Clementoni for +5 Reca (33-38), in an amen Matelica regained parity thanks to the very hot Dieng (39-39). Highly balanced and spectacular match, Fontana places the bomb of the new +4 (43-47), Morgillo imitates him with two heavy conclusions for the new tie at 49. We travel with triples: Magrini drives the yellow and blue people crazy with the l +6 (49-55), Zomero and Fontana push Svethia even to +9 (53-62).

Dieng, however, is in a state of grace, another conclusion from 6.75 to which Clementoni responds (73-73).
Zanzottera’s invention, up until now obscured by the guests’ defence, is worth +3 Vigor (76-73). Fontana’s triple crashes on the rim and Matelica closes 78-73. Recanati returns home with zero points and gains self-esteem, proving once again that it can compete on equal terms with everyone. A double home round is in sight for the Leopardians: we start on Sunday with league leaders Loreto Pesaro and then await the visit of Tasp Teramo.
