Red Bull’s Sister Team Name Change: What Fans Need to Know About the Latest Update

Red Bull‘s Italy-based sister team is expected to continue its name changes next season. The team, known as Toro Rosso for 14 years, took the name AlphaTauri in the 2020 season to promote the team’s fashion brand.

Before this season, with the help of two major sponsors, the team acquired a complex name known as Visa Cash App RB, or VCARB for short.

However, according to Formula.hu, it was claimed that the team will be called Racing Bulls in 2025, using the company name after AlphaTauri. This new name not only makes it easier to pronounce but also gives the team a more distinct identity.

When it was announced that the team would be named VCARB at the beginning of 2024, many F1 fans criticized this name on the grounds that it was not a suitable choice. It looks like the team has taken these criticisms to heart.

It is understood that agreements made with Visa and Cash App will not be affected by this change, but the logos on the vehicle will be less prominent next season. Instead, the main bull logo is expected to be increased in size.

The team’s pilot roster is still uncertain. Although Yuki Tsunoda has been confirmed for 2025, he could replace Sergio Perez at Red Bull for next season, leaving both Racing Bull seats vacant.

If Tsunoda remains in place, the names of Liam Lawson, Franco Colapinto and Isack Hadjar are being considered for the second seat.
