ISTANBUL (AA) – Ekrem Mutlu, who made a statement to the AA reporter before the national team training at the Basketball Development Center (BGM), said, “Our team was blessed to play the first national match in a super facility like BGM. We are very excited about this. We will play a very important match of the 2025 European Championship qualifiers against Romania on Thursday, November 7, at 19.00. It is also our first national match in BGM. We are very excited, we will play a very important match. We invite all basketball fans to BGM to support our women’s basketball national team.” He used the expressions.
Ayşe Cora, one of the national basketball players, reminded that they made it two out of two in the league and said, “We did two out of two last winter and we want to win the next two matches and enter the midseason in February with a great advantage. If we make it two out of two again, we will most likely be guaranteed to qualify for the European Championship. A lot of effort was put into BGM. It took a long time to build this place and we are very excited to be playing our first match here. I hope we can have a nice opening with a win together with our fans. We are trying to prepare in the best way possible. Actually, we came here ready from our clubs. We are a team that has been playing together for many years and knows each other. I believe that we will play good basketball and get a nice win.” He spoke as follows:

The national team continued its preparations
The crescent-star players continued their preparations for the Romania match with training at the Basketball Development Center.
The Nationals carried out a practice that lasted approximately 2 hours under the management of head coach Ekrem Şad.
Turkey will host Romania at the Basketball Development Center on Thursday, November 7 at 19.00 in the FIBA 2025 Women’s European Basketball Championship Qualifiers Group F, and will play away against Slovakia on Sunday, November 10.
