Weekend with bad results for our teams, except for the second national team that this Sunday morning achieved a resounding victory against the bottom of the classification. A disappointing day was predicted for everyone but the day was saved thanks to the quality of our boys, which at least brought us a little joy.
FIRST NATIONAL
The Méndez family (Domingo, Santiago and Domingo “junior”) had possibly the most difficult travel in the entire league. They faced the leader, “Hortitec Alzira” with a result of 6-0 in favor of the locals, a team that has only lost one game in the eight rounds we have played. A match without much history since our team only managed to score two games in our favor. A Valencian team that aspires for the most and are great candidates for the league title. We have to continue fighting, and competing to fight for our objective, which is to maintain the category.
SECOND NATIONAL
Great victory for our team away from home against the “Best House Calasparra”, by a resounding 0-6. Incontestable. Vicente Carreño, Mariano Tudela and a great César Tejedor played. Although the team Calasparreño are the bottom of the classification, they are a tough team to overcome and that forcefulness was not expected from ours. Our three boys displayed a great level on the table, but we must mention César who, at fourteen years old, managed to get his two points forward with great solvency against the players from the northwest who are seasoned in a thousand battles and it was not easy at all. This, together with the security of Vicente and Mariano (who almost never fail), led to a great victory. Victoria, despite the joy, the Calasparra club is a friendly club and we wish them the best of wishes.
THIRD NATIONAL
On Saturday morning our third-string players opened the day, this time Julián Cerón, Juan Antonio Tejedor and Vicente Carreño “junior” entered the scene. They faced “Alsa Cartagena”, with a result of 4-2 for the Cartagena team. The morning started well, with Vicente scoring the first point, and then Cerón scored the second goal for our team. but the team collapsed, Tejedor unlike his son César (Segunda Nacional) did not have his day, and the local team achieved a comeback that this time our team could not counter. I found that it was from power to power, since the two teams are very even in the standings. There is a lot of league left and there is a lot to play for.
AUTONOMICAL HONOR DIVISION
José Antonio Barqueros, Agustín Tudela and Eloy Tudela traveled to Puente Tocinos to confront the leader “ATM La Nave Puente Tocinos”. We came back with an unexpected 4-2 defeat. The team was confident, but it was not reflected in the game. Barqueros was surprised in the first score, sinning from his complacency towards the rival players, saving his competitive gene for later when it was too late for the team and thus affecting the final result. Agustín Tudela started well, he tied the game at 1, playing very correctly. It was the turn of the very young Eloy who, although he did not achieve victory, showed his honor and effort in front of the table. Little by little he will gather experience and will be a true phenomenon. Agustín had the match in his hand to go to the doubles, but luck did not smile on him. It’s a shame this defeat takes us a little away from our minds, but the team remains in the fight for everything.
Next weekend all the club’s teams will play, the four mentioned for this day will do so in our fiefdom “Manolo Ibáñez” (Sunday morning at 10.30). And the two school teams will play away from home, the “TM Totana” school team travels to the Murcian capital. (Saturday morning) Meanwhile our “Framusa Totana Femenino” will travel to San Pedro del Pinatar, (Saturday morning).
