As part of the “American Football Madness” event next spring, a date for the team’s home game in the Merkur Spiel-Arena has now been announced: Rhein Fire will play in Düsseldorf on June 1st. Mayor Stephan Keller is also happy about this:

Rhein Fire’s games in the European League of Football have actually been taking place in Duisburg for three seasons. In the 90s, Rhein Fire played in the NFL Europe League at the Rheinstadion and built up a large fan base in Düsseldorf. The game was also played in the arena in Stockum before the league ended.
