Rob Gronkowski explains what the Bills need to do to knock off the undefeated Chiefs in a rivalry game.

Chiefs While they remain undefeated after blocking a game-winning field goal against the Denver Broncos, the Bills are 8-2 on the year and have won five straight.

The team to beat in the NFL is the Chiefs. Although it was a tight race, they did everything necessary to complete the task and keep their losses clean.

So what can the Bills do to win against their rivals? NFL legend Rob Gronkowski knows it all comes down to the final moments of the fourth quarter, better known as “crunch time.”

“The Bills have to play a complete game,” Gronkowski told Fox News Digital at the grand opening of Great Wolf Lodge in Naples, Florida, on Thursday. “There’s no doubt about it all four quarters.” “And when crunch time comes, they can’t make any mistakes. Because Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs don’t make mistakes in crunch time. They know how to win any type of game. .

How Brock Purdy and George Kittle’s Relationship Reminds Tom Brady of Rob Gronkowski

patrick mahomes We know how to adapt to any situation that arises on the field. Same with the Kansas City Chiefs’ entire organization. They are very difficult to beat because they know how to handle whatever the situation is. They know how to behave and they know how to overcome it.

“So when the Bills beat them, we know it’s going to be a close game. Like every other game against the Chiefs this year, it’s going to come down to the wire. (Buffalo) has to be perfect. You don’t waste time, you catch the ball, you can’t drop it, you can’t make a mistake until the last second.”

Of course, what “Gronk” says is easier said than done, but it’s true. The Chiefs know exactly what to do in crunch situations, whether it’s a fourth-down stoppage against the Atlanta Falcons and driving down the field. Whether it’s scoring a touchdown in overtime against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or blocking a game-winning field goal as time expired last week.

Say what you want about the Chiefs. They simply know how to win a football game.

But Buffalo fans know this rivalry isn’t one-sided.

The Bills have won three of the last five meetings, but all of their losses during that span have come in the playoffs. One of them was an all-time NFL classic in which the Chiefs advanced to beat the Bills in overtime after Mahomes infamously got downfield with 13 seconds to play, giving Harrison Butker the opportunity to hit a field goal to send it to overtime.

The playoffs are really important for both of these teams, so Gronkowski knows how a win over his hometown team in Buffalo could help them when it comes time for the matchup everyone wants to see in the playoffs once again.

“The Bills need to win this game because they need the confidence going into the playoffs to know they can beat the Chiefs,” he said. “You have to do it at least once. I think doing that this coming weekend will give the Bills confidence that they can beat anyone when playoff time comes.”

Gronkowski was inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame earlier this week, and all he heard was talk of a region fully prepared for Bills-Chiefs to make noise on Sunday night.

“This will probably be the best game of the weekend,” Gronkowski said. “This is a great game for the NFL and for Buffalo.”
