Good news from the Majors for Venezuela this Monday, November 25, the Baltimore Orioles announced the hiring of former catcher Robinson Chirinos as their new Bench Coach starting next season.
A new stage begins for the native of Punto Fijo, who for the 2025 Major League Baseball season, joins the staff of Brandon Hyde with the Baltimore Orioles, and will continue his preparation to become a Major League Manager.
As reported by the Orioles through their social networks, Chirinos will be Hyde’s right-hand man, and will help him in the strategic part of the team, in addition to other responsibilities that have not yet been revealed.

Robinson Chirinos joins the organization after 11 years in the Big League, wearing the colors of Tampa Bay, Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, New York Mets, Chicago Cubs and Baltimore Orioles.
Between 2013 and 2019, the Venezuelan became the sixth most valuable catcher in the MLB with a bWAR of 13.0. This will be his first position as a professional coach.
