Rouffiac-Tolosan. Table tennis: they are world champions

Rouffiac table tennis has 2 champions, and not just any champions, since they are two world champions!

On the occasion of the general assembly of the association, where the office was renewed with Robert Roc, president, Philippe Grassy, Luc Mangin, treasurer, and Michel MENIS, a somewhat exceptional event took place:

the presentation of 2 trophies to 2 of its members as a surprise!

Daniel Dumont and Ghislain Planty are indeed winners of the world championship which took place in Lasko in Slovenia.

They are winners in doubles in the Parkinson ping-pong category, and Ghislain Planty also distinguished himself in singles with a nice bronze medal.

It should be noted that it is still a great victory because he was beaten by the reigning champion for five years.

These exploits deserved to be honored, their courage too, and the club did not miss the opportunity with good congratulatory speeches in the presence of Joel Camart, deputy for sport at the town hall of Rouffiac-Tolosan , and Claude Auvinet, assistant to associations.

This wonderful association recorded 19 new arrivals this year with 54 members.

Note 2 recent female memberships, and soon young members will train on Saturday afternoons to respond to this success surely linked to the last Olympic Games in Paris.

The municipality has in fact opened two additional weekly slots, Monday and Wednesday evenings during the week, and soon on Saturdays for children or beginners.
